I don't use Twitter or Instagram, I don't have a newsletter, and I managed to attract 100 followers in 12 days, simply by writing. I am remembering how much I love to write, and I feel that joy and exuberance comes through in my writing.

People use click farms, bots, you name it, but as your article so wisely states, none of that translates into actual people reading your essays/articles.
