We put a dining room table on Craig's List quite a few years ago. The nice man who offered to buy it wanted to give us a cashier's check for much more than we were asking, have us cash it, then give him the remainder. Turned out the bank didn't exist, and when I, a former teller manager, confronted him via email he threatened to come "bounce" me.
